H.L. The latest full album "Ascension" was one of the highlights in 2015. A well balanced masterpiece of melodic black metal with soulful clean singing parts and atmospheric quiet moments! Compared to this unique milestone, "All paths lead to death" is heavier without being more evil. The trademarks mentioned above are reduced, but you still recognize that this is an AMIENSUS output, as their style is one-of-a-kind. Favorite track: Mouth Of The Abyss.

about

Two years after “Ascension”, american combo Amiensus are back with a new EP “All Paths Lead To Death”.

The artwork, a painting by famous english painter John Martin, picturing Satan on his throne, at the center of the hall of the Pandæmonium, under the gaze of fallen angels, gives us a taste of Amiensus’ new sound, a darker and more brutal Black Metal than
what they’ve previously offered.

The five tracks composing “All Paths Lead To Death” were written at the end of 2016, right before the band embarked on a North-American tour with Abigail Williams. The result is tainted and brutal, while yet keeping the band’s very unique styling on past albums.

For fans of Enslaved, Agalloch...
